Terms of Service

Haulr connects customers with independent truck owners for same-day delivery of oversized items. By using our platform you agree to these terms. Drivers are independent contractors, not Haulr employees.

1. About Haulr

Haulr is a technology platform operated by Haulr, Inc. ("Haulr," "we," "us") that connects customers who need oversized items transported with independent drivers who use their own vehicles and tools. We are not a moving company and do not employ drivers.

2. Your Agreement

By creating an account, booking a delivery, or using any Haulr service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. You must be at least 18 years old to use Haulr.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Accurate information. You must provide accurate pickup and dropoff addresses, an accurate description of items, and a working phone number.
  • Item eligibility. Haulr is for oversized items (furniture, appliances, mattresses, mirrors, etc.). We do not transport hazardous materials, illegal items, or items requiring specialized commercial licenses.
  • Prepare the space. You are responsible for having items ready for pickup and ensuring the pickup/dropoff locations are accessible. Drivers are not required to move items up or down stairs if access was not disclosed.
  • Helper services. If you add a helper (+1 or +2) to your booking, that helper is a Haulr contractor who assists with loading and unloading at the rate disclosed at booking.
  • No-show / cancellation. Cancellations within 30 minutes of the scheduled pickup window may incur a fee at Haulr's discretion.

4. Driver Responsibilities

  • Independent contractor. Drivers are independent operators, not Haulr employees or agents. They set their own schedules, use their own vehicles, and are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and legal compliance.
  • Background checks. All drivers must pass a background check before being approved to accept jobs. Haulr reserves the right to suspend or remove drivers at any time.
  • Safe operation. Drivers must operate safely, communicate promptly with customers, and complete jobs as described. Drivers must maintain valid insurance for their vehicle as required by Texas law.
  • No-show / late cancellation. Drivers who fail to show or cancel within 30 minutes of a scheduled window may be penalized, including removal from the platform.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • Upfront pricing. Customers see the full price before confirming. The price is based on item type, distance, and helper options selected.
  • Payment. Payments are processed via Stripe. Haulr does not store payment card information. By booking you authorize Haulr to charge the amount shown at checkout.
  • Disputes. If you believe a charge was incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@haulrit.com. We will investigate and issue refunds at our reasonable discretion.
  • Driver payouts. Drivers receive 85% of the order total via Stripe Connect direct deposit. Haulr retains the remainder to cover platform operations and fees.

6. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel a booking before a driver is assigned at no charge. Once a driver is assigned, cancellations within 1 hour incur a 50% fee. If a driver cancels after accepting, no charge applies and the customer is refunded in full. Haulr may cancel any order at its discretion with a full refund.

7. Limitation of Liability

HAULR IS NOT A MOVING COMPANY. We do not employ drivers and are not liable for their acts or omissions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haulr, Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or business — arising from your use of the platform or any delivery.

Haulr's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Items you move are your responsibility. You should inspect items upon delivery and note any damage on the delivery confirmation. Haulr is not responsible for pre-existing damage. Drivers are not covered by Haulr for property damage — you should resolve any damage claims directly with the driver.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haulr, Inc. and its officers from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your interaction with a driver.

9. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Haulr that cannot be resolved informally shall first be submitted to binding mediation in Travis County, Texas, before pursuing other remedies. If mediation fails, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Austin, Travis County, Texas.

YOU AND HAULR AGREE THAT EACH MAY ONLY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER INDIVIDUALLY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

10. User Content

You may submit reviews, ratings, and comments about drivers. By submitting content you grant Haulr a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display it on the platform. You represent that your content is accurate and does not infringe on any third party's rights. We may remove content at our discretion.

11. Intellectual Property

Haulr's name, logo, website, app, and all related content are the property of Haulr, Inc. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any Haulr materials without written permission.

12. Account Termination

Haulr may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms, fraud, or unsafe behavior toward drivers or other customers. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your account. Your continued use of Haulr after changes constitutes acceptance.
